Diamond Bracelet

The Complete Diamond Grading Report Of Color, Quality and Cut Analysis, issued by Tenhagen Gemological Laboratory, is a document describing an unmounted diamond. It issues a "Cut Grade" indicating the physical and optical (light performance) properties of the diamond with images at the time of evaluation. This invaluable document shows in detail a diamond's carat weight, shape, color, clarity, proportions, symmetry, and brilliancy with images and cut grade. It provides a unique evaluation of a diamond and is a source of vital information to the trained gemologist, jeweler, and/or consumer. Any treatment used to enhance the diamonds will be identified. The report will enable the jeweler or valuer to establish the current market value of your diamond should you desire to obtain insurance of your jewelry. There is no ownership or value assigned to the diamond grading in the report.

A Tenhagen Gemological Labratory Diamond Grading Report describes the following:

  • Shape and cutting - The diamond's shape and cutting style.
  • Weight - Weight of a diamond listed to the nearest hundredth of a carat.
  • Color - Grade of color as taught by GIA.
  • Fluorescence - Color, and strength of color when the diamond is viewed under UV light.
  • Clarity - Clarity grade determined under 10x magnification.
  • Clarity plot - Inclusions plottered approximate size and location, as well as blemishes.
  • Cut Grade - See proportion and symmetry colored image of the light handling capability of that specific set of proportions and symmetry.
  • Brilliance Grade - See black and white brilliance image with numerical percentage of light return described as excellent, very good, good, fair, and poor.
  • Measurement - The diamond's dimensions in millimeters.
      For Round Brilliant Cut Diamonds; Diameter - Diameter x Depth.
      For Fancy Shaped Diamonds; Length x Width x Depth.
  • Depth - Depth in millimeters and percentages for all diamonds.
  • Table - Table facet percentage.
  • Girdle - Range of girdle thickness and girdle finish.
  • Culet - Culet size
  • Polish - word descriptions of excellent, very good, good, fair, and poor.
  • Symmetry - word descriptions of excellent, very good, good, fair, and poor.
